This program will celebrate two new WWHP initiatives! Both stress the historic accomplishments of nineteenth-century social reformer Abby Kelley Foster. WWHP will announce the new Abby Kelley Foster Letters Project, which aims to produce a volume of Foster's selected correspondence in order to document her role in the struggle for human rights.
WWHP will also include a brief anti-slavery lecture as given by social reformer, Abby Kelley Foster, as we introduce a new one woman play, "Yours for Humanity--Abby," which uses Foster's letters and other sources to tell her story.
WWHP marks the anniversary of the first National Woman's Convention--on October 23-24, 1850, at Brinley Hall, only a few blocks away--which Foster helped to organize.
