Quilts: American Women Stitching History

Free event presented by the Worcester Women's History Project in collaboration with the Worcester Historical Museum.

Worcester, MA, July 21, 2000: Jennifer Gilbert, curator of the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell, Massachusetts, and author of The Quilts of the New England Quilt Museum, will present a lecture entitled "Quilts and the Stories They Tell." There will also be a display of quilts, a raffle for fabric gift certificates, information on quilting, and excerpts from the award-winning film Hearts and Hands: The Influence of Women and Quilts on American Society. Bring your own quilt for a free consultation with Jennifer Gilbert about where and when it was made.
