Worcester, MA, August 2, 2000: Judy and Rick Fask, current owners of Liberty Farm, the former home of Abby Kelley Foster will host a scholarship fund raising event for the Worcester Women's History Project on Sunday, August 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Liberty Farm located at 116 Mower Street in Worcester, was home to Abby Kelley Foster and her husband Stephen S. Foster from 1847 - 1881. The Foster's were radical abolitionists, women's rights activists, and their home was a site on the Underground Railroad.

Preservation Worcester will provide a guided tour, members of the Worcester Women's History Project's reenactment committee will wear period costumes from the play, Angels and Infidels, and light refreshments will be served.

A suggested minimum donation of $100 will benefit the Women 2000 Scholarship Fund. Women 2000, a weekend celebration of the first National Woman's Rights Convention, held in Worcester in 1850, will take place on October 20-22, 2000. Women 2000 will offer a conference with 30 workshops, key note speakers, entertainers and an historical dramatization of the 1850 convention, called Angels and Infidels. A Pre-Conference for Teachers will be offered for an additional fee.
