Women 2000 "Angels & Infidels" Costume Parade

Worcester Women's History Project... celebrates Equality Day.

Worcester, MA, August 13, 2000

On Saturday, August 26, 2000 from 5:30-7:00 p.m., the Worcester Women's History Project will honor leaders of the first National Woman's Rights Convention which was held in Worcester in 1850. Costumed extras from "Angels & Infidels," the historical dramatization of the 1850 convention, will parade from Hope Cemetery on Webster Street to Rural Cemetery on Grove Street, visiting gravesites of notable figures whom in the nineteenth century were active in women's rights and abolition.

Gravesites to be visited include: Abby Kelley Foster & Stephen Foster, Sarah H. Earle, Abigail P. B. Rawson, Lydia M. Wilmarth, Joseph A. Howland and Adeline H. Howland.
