Are you fond of detective novels and suspenseful movies? Do you secretly imagine yourself as Sherlock Holmes or Miss Marple? Then get ready to test your investigative skills at an evening of mystery dinner theatre sponsored by the Worcester Women's History Project.

Throughout the evening, at the same time that you are enjoying a cash bar and a delicious buffet dinner, you'll also be able to watch a professional production entitled "Sisters in Crime." As a member of the audience, you'll get to interact with the cast of characters, puzzle over clues and crimes that appear before your very eyes, and compare your deductions with those of other diners. "Sisters in Crime" is staged by Cornely Productions, a professional troupe of actors centered in Sturbridge and Westborough, Massachusetts, which specializes in mystery dinner theatre.

The scene of the crime is the Knights of Columbus Hall at 17 Willow Street in Westborough. The investigation will commence at 6:30 pm with a cash bar, hors d'oeuvres, and the opportunity to meet some of the principal suspects. The dinner and show will begin at 7 pm sharp. You will gradually discover all of the clues that you need to solve the mystery--but, just in case you're still baffled, we promise that at the end of the evening's festivities we'll reveal exactly "whodunit."

This evening of mystery dinner theatre is sponsored by the Worcester Women's History Project as one of several events leading up to Women 2000, a national conference that takes place at Mechanics Hall and the Centrum Centre in Worcester from October 20 to 22, 2000. Tickets for "Sisters in Crime" are $30 per person, which includes the show as well as the buffet dinner. Tickets must be reserved ahead of time by calling Lynne McKenney Lydick at 508-856-9091, or by sending an email to wwhp@net1plus.com
