Rebecca Freedman

Mother Grandmother, Army Nurse

After my duty in Italy, I made it through the army. I was very fortunate. I got married. And in my fifty-nine years of marriage, I raised eight children. I think I gave them some of the simple things that I learned, about honesty and caring for people. I am a very lucky woman.

Rebecca Freedman was born on December 13, 1922 and grew up in Worcester, MA. Her parents were Jewish and she had three sisters including a twin sister.
